Ok so the blogging took a break for over a week...where does the time go??
I've had the man flu which involved losing my voice and coughing madly but I’m now getting over this and am secretly pleased I had it last week so I can be fighting fit for the Hen weekend this weekend! How exciting!!!
On the subject of weddings...I went for my fitting last weekend. I entered the shop to "Bloody hell you're a different person" cue grinning from ear to ear and the in-depth story of pre wedding diets and praying that the dress can be tailored.
So, I stripped to my wedding undies behind a curtain and stepped into the dress...have you ever seen one of those blow up sumo wrestler suits deflated...well that’s what I looked like only my sumo dress was made from ivory silk and lace! Very funny. I then pulled back the curtain, dropped arms down and the dress fell straight on the floor and I was standing there in the middle of the shop in all my glory! Embarrassing? yes! Funny for everyone else? Completely!
I was then pinned back into the dress with a total of about 18 inches to be lost from the sides and top. I asked the lady "Are you going to be able to fix this" the reply was "Ummm....hmmm...I won’t lie to you love its 50/50"...FIFTY/FIFTY!?! 6 weeks before my wedding day!?! It can't be FIFTY/FIFTY!!! After a minor panic attack, the need for a large vodka and a lot of love from the bridesmaids all is fine and I'm going for another fitting on the 13th so it’s a wait and see until then.
Ooo to give you the parking update, even though I’m meant to be a grown up now, there is always a time when a girl needs their mum. I had a phone call yesterday saying, "Don’t worry Nin, I've sorted it. I paid the farmer a visit!"....what can I say, like mother like daughter!!!
